Transmission immersion probe fiber
1. What is a transmission immersion probe fiber?
Jinzhi Optoelectronics transmission immersion probe fiber is suitable for measuring transmittance
and absorbance in liquid samples. Unlike cuvette-based devices, the probe tip is immersed in the sample;
liquid can flow freely into the opening in the probe tip. This method allows direct measurement of the
sample and is ideal for applications that require measurement at the time of purchase, such as monitoring
chemical reactions or water testing (see the Applications tab for details). A complete transmission immersion
probe requires the purchase of a fiber bundle and a probe.The optical fiber is equipped with a .35mm (1/4 inch) probe,
and other specifications can also be customized. The ends are fiber optic connectors such as SMA905 or FC, which can be customized.

6. The transmission immersion probe can be mounted on the transmission immersion probe fiber.
The probe tip has an opening that allows the liquid sample to flow freely into the measurement area
during measurement. Each tip has a diffuse reflector at the end that reflects light emerging from the
probe's fiber bundle. A protective film on the mirror surface allows it to be immersed in liquids.
Probes can be cleaned using acetone and an ultrasonic cleaner for reuse. The optical path length is 5mm,
10mm optional. The longer the length, the longer the light in the probe tip interacts with the sample medium;
therefore, using a longer probe tip helps improve the signal-to-noise ratio for low absorbance samples.
Conversely, shorter probe tips are more suitable for handling high absorbance samples. In general,
the longer the length, the greater the transmission loss of the probe. Therefore, choosing the appropriate
light source and probe length according to the experiment is critical for optimizing the measurement effect.
