Sensing fiber
Sensing fiber optic is a sensor technology that utilizes fiber optic as a sensing element. It utilizes the characteristics of optical fibers, such as light transmission, reflection, refraction, and interference, to measure and detect physical or chemical quantities in the environment.
The working principle of sensing optical fibers is to obtain information about target physical quantities by measuring changes in optical signals. Fiber optic sensors typically consist of a light source, fiber optic, and optical receiver. The light source emits optical signals, which are transmitted to the target location through optical fibers, and then received by the optical receiver and converted into electrical signals for analysis and processing.
